The Iowa Association for Communication Technology invites you to attend our Spring Conference co-hosted with IDLA.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS
Submission Deadline: January 30, 2013

We invite presentation proposals for:

. Breakout Sessions (60 minutes)
. Poster presentations (standard posters, as well as laptop presentations will be considered.)
. Panel Discussions (60 minutes)

Who should apply?

We welcome proposals from all corporate, education (higher and K-12), healthcare, government and military, and non-profit organizations.

If you have a topic that does not fit into one of these areas, but you would like to share the information, feel free to submit under "Other".

There are several ways to participate:

. Concurrent breakout sessions provide an opportunity for you to give an interactive presentation in one or more of the conference topic areas. Conference attendees expect sessions to provide practical advice and the sharing of experiences. The committee seeks high quality, thought provoking and interactive sessions, not lecture format. Co-presenters are encouraged. (60 minutes)
. Poster sessions allow presenters to prepare a standing table-top poster that describes a project, process, research or other activity. This will be an opportunity to meet and network with a majority of conference attendees. (60 minutes)
We recommend that proposals be specific about what will make your presentation valuable to attendees. Your proposal should be focused on innovative issues, working solutions and should address the conference theme. All presenters are expected to register for the full conference.

In an email message, please submit the following information:

. Contact Information
. Session title
. Abstract: 50-word (or less) description of your session
. Content: a clear summary of learning objectives and session content in 300-500s
. Type of presentation (for ex: Breakout Session or Poster)
. Audience Focus (K-12, Higher Ed., Corporate, etc.)

Equipment:

If accepted, you will be asked to bring your own laptop, any cables needed to connect to an LCD projector, and external speakers if you need audio for your presentation. We will provide an LCD projector and screen for presentations in each room.

Status of Proposals and Notification
Proposals will be reviewed in a timely manner, and you will be notified by February 11, 2013 about your status as a presenter. If you have not heard back by that time, or if you have any questions, email tiffany.morgan@iptv.org.
